Princess Dress
This this dress was made for a pattern drafting class. I actually enjoyed making this dress because it's a really simple dress, not too much to think about and it's also like a review for me because I have made something similar before. I also use elastic to create gathers on the sleeves which I've never done before and it turn out really nice.

Kimono Sleeves Dress
This is another dress that I have designed for an advanced clothing construction class.
It's a loose fitting dress that can be wore day or night with a kimono sleeve that has an opening along the sleeves.
This dress is made of 100% silk, so it's very comfortable for spring for summer season.
I also gave this dress a lower back and cover it with black lace to give it a hint of a sexy look.

I decided to design something that is classic and elegant that would be suitable for their line.
The fabrics that I chose for these dresses are mostly poplin and one wool. The color that I chose for each dress has two solid color for each dress. I wanted to have a little fun with the contrast color according to Spring season. And since it's spring season, I don't want to overpower the dress by very bright colors.
The dress that I chose to enter the contest is called Barbara Stanwyck Dress. This dress is really simple but yet classic. It has white shirt inside a dress which is still comfortable for the dress that has a lower neckline. The fabric I chose for this dress is poplin which I found suitable for this design.

Video: An Easy, Flat Fly-Front Zipper - Threads
I'm currently working on a fly zipper for my Fashion 1B class . . and to say the least , it's hard . The notes aren't to clear and leave me search for answers . There was a demo in class but if I don't get to work well it's fresh in my mind I won't be able to fully remember the steps . . so , I search online and came across this great easy demo that was recorded . Hope it helps everyone as much as it helped me .

Top models !
According to Style.com's Top 10 models , Agyness Deyn is number one . The web site list the "most popular" models by popularity . I've been keeping up with the post and so far it hasn't changed in a while . This may very well be THE most popular models since the names are among the most spoken of (popular , right). I can't argue with the sites list considering even I've heard these models names or read about them . Of the most popular name , the one I've heard most , is Kate Moss . The model has been mentioned in two singers/songwriters songs that listen to , Jewel and Chantal Kreviazuk . These models are indeed amazing at what they do and in my opinion they deserve to be on that list .

fur is dead . com
I absolutely can't write for a blog and not express my belief that animals are not ours to wear . There's simply just too many alternatives to animal skins and animal produced fibers (like silk) . What's more is the fact that this fibers are just as , if not more , good as those of animals . Aside from the fact that the fabric is just as great lies the truth that these poor , defenseless animals have to suffer for our so-called "good looks" . . in my opinion , people who wear fur demonstrate an underlining of themselves . . and it doesn't look good . To say that you can sacrifice another's life for the comfort of yours makes you a coward , a cheater at the meaning of life . Please come join an organization like PeTA to end the suffering and give animals the only thing that we , as humans , need . . a chance at life .

Rough, blood and fashion
The "killer" looks that Dsquared2 present in their Fall 2010 Menswear show are not only emotionally appealing , but the strong bet up models scream of sex appeal . How the high fashion (and long time Menswear) can get this look right demonstrates why there is a separation of meaningless and high fashions . The runway shows rock and roll , bloody and bet with boots (made for stomping) . I guess the next question is what's not to love ?

Suicide by a legend
Sad to explain that we lost one of the most innovating and exciting fashion designer of our time - Alexander McQueen , 40 . McQueen took his own life but left us with plenty of high art/fashion and a view at what fashion is all about . To say that crowds weren't moved by the power of his clothes would be a lie and to say he was only "okay" would be a under statement . You will be missed .
